Rotation Goals
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of common surgical problems from an outpatient perspective
Understand indications for essential diagnostic studies used to evaluate patients with surgical conditions
Identify surgical emergencies that require prompt evaluation
Gain an understanding about referral appropriateness for surgical colleagues including ophthalmology, ENT, urology, breast and general surgery

BEFORE YOU START:
Email your subspecialty clinic preceptors before the first Monday of the rotation. Introduce yourself and state the dates when you will be there. If a preceptor is away / on vacation, let Dr. Garcia know. If any of the below contact information is incorrect, please alert Dr. Garcia ASAP.

When in specialty clinic and 8am conference, dress professionally (business casual, white coat) and strive to always be on time.
