FHC3

The PGY2 FHC rotation includes the following:

• Four Farrell sessions per week, including Nursing Home visits on Tuesday am as scheduled according to your color team.

• Thursday pm didactics

• Friday am CMAS/QI

• Completion of the STFM Advocacy online course (approximately 1 hour total): https://stfm.org/advocacycourse

• Completion of the Gold Foundation Dismantling Structural Racism to Advance Health Equity online course (approximately 16 hours total): https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=399

• Please send completion certificates for both  courses to Dr. Paladine by the end of the rotation.

• Completion of your ABFM PI module. This is required to register for boards in your PGY3 year. You can use the information from your team QI project for this.

• "Residents will have 2 half sessions for community Engagement Prep. Residents will visit ARC on some Tuesdays while on rotation with a faculty member regardless of nursing home.

• Residents will also be required to attend a community board meeting over zoom during the rotation with a short assignment on your experience to follow (please reach out to Dr. Encarnacion if you have not received an email from her the weekend prior to starting the rotation - me2548@cumc.columbia.edu).
